(1) According to sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 17 of the Act, a person who wants to correct any thing mentioned in the details of the certificate of Nepali citizenship should submit an application to the ministry or the chief district officer.
(2) If an application is made to correct or amend the details in accordance with sub-rule (1), the ministry or the chief district officer may issue another certificate of citizenship along with the amendment by drawing the previously obtained citizenship certificate after understanding the necessary matters in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 17 of the Act.
